Advancing AI-powered retinal pathology detection through cutting-edge research and clinical partnerships
Our Current Models
We have developed and validated AI models for several critical retinal pathologies:
Stroke Detection: Our Primary Focus
We have a particular focus on stroke detection through retinal imaging. The retina provides a unique window into the cardiovascular system, allowing us to detect signs of stroke risk before clinical symptoms appear.
We have access to a comprehensive dataset of 68,000 fundus images specifically curated for stroke risk assessment. This extensive dataset enables us to train highly accurate models that can identify retinal signs associated with stroke, including:
This research has the potential to transform preventive healthcare by enabling early stroke risk assessment during routine eye examinations.
Clinical Partnerships
We are proud to partner with Retina Clinic in Bucharest, working closely with Dr. Florian Balta , a top ophthalmologist and leading researcher in retinal diseases.
Dr. Balta's expertise in retinal pathology and his extensive research background make this partnership invaluable for validating our AI models and advancing our understanding of retinal biomarkers for systemic diseases.
We are currently in discussions with Spitalul Universitar de Urgență București (Bucharest University Emergency Hospital) to establish a research collaboration. This partnership would provide access to a diverse patient population and enable large-scale validation of our stroke detection models in a clinical emergency setting.
We are in discussions with Visioofta to expand our research network and clinical validation capabilities.
Research Impact
Our research aims to bridge the gap between routine eye care and comprehensive health screening. By leveraging the retina as a window to systemic health, we can detect life-threatening conditions like stroke before they manifest clinically, potentially saving thousands of lives annually.
Through our partnerships with leading clinical institutions and access to extensive datasets, we are advancing the frontier of AI-powered preventive medicine.
